Project Overview

About This Project

NorthPoint Equipment Rentals provided a compact track loader rental to a property owner in Franklin, NH for a comprehensive lot improvement project — grading a new driveway approach, clearing a half-acre brushy field, moving topsoil stockpiles, and cleaning out a barn floor. Four distinct tasks, one machine, one rental.

The customer rented NorthPoint’s Kubota SVL75-3 with three attachments over a week — a standard bucket, a LandPride brush hog attachment, and pallet forks. The versatility of the high-flow skid steer allowed the property owner to complete all four project phases without renting additional equipment.

The Challenge

What the Job Demanded

The Franklin property had four distinct improvement needs that a single-use machine couldn’t address:

Driveway grading: A new 400-foot gravel driveway approach needed rough grading, crowned cross-section, and end-of-day compaction prep. Field clearing: A half-acre field had 6 years of goldenrod, multiflora rose, and saplings up to 2 inches diameter requiring brush hog-level cutting. Topsoil movement: Three stockpiles of screened topsoil needed spreading across a new lawn area — a bucket and forks job, not an excavator task. Barn cleanout: Several years of packed material needed loading into a dump trailer. The customer needed one machine that could do all four — and didn’t want to pay for and manage multiple rental deliveries.

The Solution

Equipment Deployed

NorthPoint recommended the Kubota SVL75-3 high-flow compact track loader — a machine capable of accepting all three required attachments and powering the brush hog’s hydraulic demands with its 93.5 HP high-flow hydraulic system.

Kubota V3307 — 74.3 HP
Aux Hydraulics
High-flow — 37.5 GPM
Travel Speed
7.5 mph

Versatile high-flow compact track loader for multi-task property work. Accepts a full range of attachments including standard buckets, brush hog rotary cutters, pallet forks, augers, trenchers, and snow pushers. High-flow hydraulic system powers demanding attachments like mulching heads and brush hogs without performance loss. Rubber tracks protect established lawn and gravel surfaces while providing superior traction on soft and uneven terrain. The standard choice for NH residential and farm property multi-task projects.

Implementation Timeline

1-Week Multi-Task Project

The SVL75-3 was delivered Monday morning with all three attachments. The operator used the quick-attach system to swap attachments in under 10 minutes between tasks.

1
Day 1

SVL75-3 and attachments delivered from NorthPoint Tilton. Bucket attached — driveway rough grading completed. 400-foot approach graded to crowned profile, drainage pitch established on both sides. Material compaction prep completed end of day.

2
Days 2–3

LandPride brush hog attachment swapped in. Half-acre field cleared in two passes — first at 6-inch cut height, second at grade. Goldenrod, multiflora rose, and 2-inch saplings processed without stalling. Field ready for re-seeding by end of day three.

3
Day 4

Bucket back on — three topsoil stockpiles spread across the new lawn area. Final rake-out and light grading completed. Pallet forks attached for barn material loading into customer’s dump trailer. Barn floor cleared by end of day.

4
Day 5

Final driveway touch-up grading and cleanup. Machine cleaned and staged for pickup. NorthPoint collected the SVL75-3 Friday afternoon. All four project tasks completed within the one-week rental window.

Results

What Was Achieved

The property owner completed four distinct improvement projects in one week with one machine — a result that would have required three or four separate equipment rentals and multiple delivery fees with a less versatile machine selection.

Tasks Completed
4 Projects
Driveway grading, field clearing, topsoil spreading, and barn cleanout — all completed with one rental in one week.
Attachments
3 Used
Bucket, brush hog, and pallet forks — all swapped in under 10 minutes with the SVL75-3's quick-attach system.
Delivery Fees Saved
$0 Extra
One delivery, one pickup — versus three or four separate equipment deliveries for a less versatile machine selection.
Field Cleared
0.5 Acres
Half-acre of dense brush and 6-year-old growth cleared with the LandPride brush hog in two days.

I didn't realize one machine could do all of that until NorthPoint suggested the SVL75-3 with the attachment package. Saved me from renting three separate pieces of equipment. That machine is a workhorse.

Key Takeaways

What This Project Demonstrates

This project demonstrates the core value proposition of a high-flow compact track loader rental: one machine, multiple attachments, multiple tasks — at the cost of a single rental.

Attachment Versatility
The SVL75-3's quick-attach system and high-flow hydraulics unlocked bucket, brush hog, and fork capability from a single rental. That versatility is the reason contractors and property owners choose it over single-purpose machines.
High-Flow Hydraulics
Not all skid steers can power a brush hog efficiently. The SVL75-3's 37.5 GPM high-flow system drove the LandPride rotary cutter at full spec without hydraulic pressure drop.
Renting vs. Buying
A Kubota SVL75-3 costs $50,000–$70,000 new. For a one-week property improvement project, rental is always the right financial decision.
One Delivery, Multiple Tasks
NorthPoint includes attachments with rentals when available. One delivery fee covered the machine and all three attachments — no additional transport costs.
Lakes Region Delivery
NorthPoint Tilton delivers to Franklin, Sanbornton, Northfield, and all surrounding Lakes Region communities within the free delivery zone.
