NorthPoint Equipment Rentals collects SMS/text messaging consent in person, at the point of rental, at any of our five New Hampshire locations (Ashland, Tilton, Hooksett, Rumney, Colebrook). Consent is captured through our standard customer intake form, completed by the customer or read aloud and confirmed verbally by staff during the booking process — it is never collected through a text-to-join keyword or unsolicited list.

Staff members verbally confirm this consent language with the customer whenever a phone number is collected by phone or the form is completed on the customer's behalf, and initial the form to document that confirmation.
When a customer books or is set up by phone rather than in person, a NorthPoint staff member reads the same consent disclosure aloud before adding the number for text messaging. This is a live conversation with a staff member — NorthPoint does not use an automated IVR (interactive voice response) system or recorded opt-in prompt for SMS consent.
The customer's verbal "yes" is logged by the staff member initialing the intake form's Preferred Contact Method field, documenting that verbal consent was given and confirming the same disclosure shown above was communicated.
