Rental rates cover the machine for the agreed period. They do not include delivery, fuel, or the Rental Protection Plan (RPP). Rentals are charged based on time out — not time used. The clock starts when the equipment leaves a NorthPoint location or is delivered, and stops when it is returned. Rental rates are subject to change.
Weather Policy
No discounts or additional time are offered due to adverse weather conditions. New Hampshire weather is unpredictable — plan your rental accordingly. If weather delays your project, contact the store to discuss extensions based on availability.

Additional hours beyond the included meter allowance are charged at prorated rates. Rent accrues for all time out, including Sundays and holidays. Keeping equipment beyond the agreed term without written consent from NorthPoint constitutes a material breach of the rental contract and may be treated as theft.
The Rental Protection Plan (RPP) applies to all NorthPoint equipment rentals. It is a contractual liability modification — not insurance — that limits your financial responsibility for accidental loss or damage to rented equipment.
Rental Protection Plan — Summary
RPP Applies to All Rentals
RPP Fee
15% of gross rental charges
Max liability — Lost Equipment
15% of FMV, up to $3,500
Max liability — Damage
15% of repair cost, up to $2,500
Downtime rental charges
$0 — waived during repair period
The RPP cannot be declined unless the customer provides a qualifying Inland Marine insurance policy that names NorthPoint Equipment Rentals LLC as additional insured for the full replacement value of the rented equipment. Standard general liability policies, business owner policies, and general property insurance do not qualify. Present the certificate of insurance and the additional insured endorsement at the rental counter before the rental begins.
Without RPP or a qualifying Inland Marine policy, the customer is responsible for 100% of all repair, replacement, and downtime costs.

Damage Reporting — Act Immediately
If equipment is damaged during your rental, notify NorthPoint immediately. Failure to report damage promptly may result in loss of any RPP benefit and you may be liable for the full repair cost. For theft, file a police report within 48 hours of discovery and deliver a written copy to NorthPoint within 48 hours — this is a hard RPP condition. Delays in reporting can void RPP coverage entirely.
Fuel is the renter's responsibility and is not included in rental rates unless otherwise specified. Equipment leaves every NorthPoint location with a full tank and must be returned full.
Equipment starts your rental with a full tank. Return it full of the correct fuel type.
If you cannot refuel, NorthPoint will refuel the machine and charge you for the fuel used at current store rates. Contact your location for current fuel pricing.
Use only the correct fuel type. Different machines require different fuel: diesel, 4-cycle gasoline, or 2-cycle mixed gasoline. If you are not certain, call the store before you refuel. Using the wrong fuel type may result in an expensive service charge or, in the worst case, engine replacement.
Use fresh fuel from clean containers. Refueling with dirty or contaminated fuel may result in a fuel filter replacement charge and service fee.
Not Sure What Fuel Your Machine Takes?
Call your NorthPoint location before refueling. The fuel type is also noted on or near the fuel cap of most machines. Diesel and gasoline engines can look similar — do not guess. The cost of an engine replacement far exceeds the cost of a quick phone call.
Equipment can be picked up directly from any NorthPoint location during business hours — Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm. Before arriving, make sure your hauling setup meets all of the following requirements.

NorthPoint Can Deny Pickup
NorthPoint Equipment Rentals LLC retains the right to deny pickup if the customer's hauling equipment is not adequate and safe. Do not arrive with an undersized trailer, an unregistered rig, or without proper securement. If you are unsure whether your setup is adequate for a specific machine, call the store before you drive in.
Delivery is available for all equipment but is not included in the rental rate. Delivery charges are based on the size of the equipment and the distance from the nearest NorthPoint location. A clear delivery quote is always provided before you confirm your reservation.
Free delivery within 5 miles of any NorthPoint location — Ashland, Tilton, Hooksett, Rumney, and Colebrook.
Statewide delivery available beyond 5 miles for a fee based on distance and equipment type — always quoted upfront, no surprises.
When scheduling delivery, provide your site address and any relevant access details: unpaved roads, steep grades, gate codes, or overhead clearance issues.
Book delivery when you reserve. Same-day delivery depends on schedule and route availability — call your location directly for urgent requests.
Equipment must be returned in reasonably clean condition — the same standard you would want when receiving a rental. NorthPoint reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee for equipment returned in unacceptable condition.
Return equipment in the same operating condition as when you received it, ordinary wear and tear excepted. Equipment must be free of all regulated or hazardous substances. The following specific conditions will incur a cleaning charge:
Coffee spills or food debris in the cab
Excessive dirt or mud inside the cab or on controls
Mud packed into tracks, undercarriage, or attachment linkages
Any regulated, hazardous, or contaminating substance left in or on the equipment
A quick rinse and reasonable effort before return is all that is expected. You do not need to detail the machine. But returning it in the condition you received it respects the next renter and avoids an unnecessary charge.
NorthPoint maintains every machine to prevent issues — but as with any mechanical equipment, problems can occasionally occur. If a machine malfunctions during your rental, here is exactly what to do.
Stop using the machine immediately. Continuing to operate damaged or malfunctioning equipment can make the problem worse and may affect your RPP coverage.
Call your NorthPoint location immediately. Store lines are available 24/7. (603) 499-7926. After hours: (774) 244-7675. Do not attempt to diagnose or repair the equipment yourself.
Failure to notify NorthPoint of a breakdown means NorthPoint is unaware of the issue — and you may lose any potential credit or RPP benefit you would otherwise be entitled to.
NorthPoint will troubleshoot by phone, dispatch a technician to your site, provide a substitute machine, or adjust your rental charge depending on the situation.
Do Not Repair Equipment Yourself
The rental contract does not permit self-repair or third-party repair of rented equipment without NorthPoint's prior written approval. Unauthorized repairs may result in additional charges and may void your RPP coverage. Always call first.
Need more time? Call as soon as you know. Extensions are subject to availability — if another customer has reserved the machine, NorthPoint cannot always accommodate a last-minute extension.
Call your location at (603) 499-7926 or the after-hours line at (774) 244-7675 the moment you realize you need more time.
NorthPoint will accommodate extension requests based on equipment availability at that location.
Weather delays are not grounds for free extensions or discounts. Extensions due to weather are subject to the same availability rules as any other extension request.
Equipment kept beyond the agreed term without NorthPoint's written consent constitutes a material breach of the rental contract. Extended non-return without consent may be treated as theft.
When NorthPoint holds equipment for you, it is marked unavailable to other customers. Advance notice is required for all cancellations and reschedules — the earlier you notify us, the better for everyone.
