Project Overview
About This Project
NorthPoint Equipment Rentals provided boom lift rentals to Summit Construction Services across active job sites in Tilton and Hooksett, NH. The four-week engagement required versatile aerial work platforms capable of safely elevating workers and materials to heights up to 60 feet across two sites with different access conditions and work requirements.
NorthPoint supplied two machines from its boom lift fleet — a JLG 600S straight boom lift for maximum vertical reach and a Genie Z45 articulating boom lift for navigating obstacles and tight spaces at height. Both machines were delivered, operator-briefed, and maintained throughout the rental period.
The Challenge
What the Job Demanded
Summit Construction needed reliable elevated access up to 60 feet for construction work and maintenance tasks across two simultaneously active New Hampshire sites. The challenges were compounded by several site-specific factors:
Tight site access at both locations meant standard straight-boom equipment alone couldn't reach all work areas — articulation was needed to work over and around obstacles. Uneven ground conditions required machines with robust stabilization and ground clearance. And compressed deadlines left no room for equipment downtime or logistical delays between sites.
The client needed a rental partner who could deliver the right machines fast, support operators on-site, and keep equipment moving between Tilton and Hooksett without disrupting workflow.
The Solution
Equipment Deployed
NorthPoint matched each job requirement to the right machine. Two boom lifts were deployed for the full four-week duration — one for maximum vertical reach, one for articulated access around obstacles.
Telescoping straight boom for safely reaching high elevations on open construction and maintenance work. Maximum vertical reach in class with 56-foot horizontal outreach. Ideal for structural work, roofline access, and elevated material placement where direct vertical reach is needed.
Multi-joint articulating boom for reaching over and around obstacles, structures, and equipment at height. Up-and-over capability makes it the right machine when a straight boom can't access the work area. Used for access to confined overhead spaces, obstruction-heavy sections, and detailed finish work at elevation.
Implementation Timeline
4-Week Deployment
Both lifts were active across the full engagement, rotating between the Tilton and Hooksett sites to maintain continuous workflow. NorthPoint coordinated all logistics — delivery, operator briefings, and inter-site movements — to keep the schedule on track.
Delivered JLG 600S and Genie Z45 to the Tilton site. NorthPoint completed operator safety walk-throughs covering machine controls, safe startup and shutdown, site-specific hazard awareness, and OSHA-required operating procedures. Both machines cleared for active use by end of week.
Both lifts deployed to the Hooksett site for elevated material placement and structural construction work. The JLG 600S handled high vertical reach tasks; the Genie Z45 addressed confined overhead sections and obstacle-adjacent work areas. Full productivity achieved across both machines.
Operators rotated lifts between Tilton and Hooksett to maintain continuous workflow across both sites. NorthPoint coordinated machine movement logistics and performed mid-rental equipment check-ins to ensure both units remained in optimal operating condition.
Final elevated tasks completed ahead of schedule across both sites. Equipment returned to NorthPoint in clean condition. Project closeout documented zero safety incidents across the full rental period — fully OSHA-compliant operation throughout.
Results
What Was Achieved
Summit Construction Services completed all elevated scope ahead of the original project schedule — with zero safety incidents and measurable cost savings compared to equipment purchase. The two-machine approach gave the crew maximum flexibility to tackle both sites simultaneously without workflow gaps.
NorthPoint's JLG 600S and Genie Z45 boom lifts made our Tilton and Hooksett projects safe and efficient. Delivery and support were exceptional — exactly what you need when you're running two sites simultaneously on a hard deadline.
